Experience

As an Android Developer, I elevated the rider experience by engineering fluid, real-time route animations and upgrading the vehicle visualization from a 2D to a 3D model. This involved interpolating backend data to create a more realistic and seamless on-map display for active trips. I also designed and implemented a "drop pin" feature to simplify destination selection, managing complex UI states and navigation while integrating both native Android and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) layers to ensure synchronized data flow throughout the booking process. 

As an Android Developer, contributed to Ithaca Transit, a public transportation app serving ~2000 users. Additionally, as a Course Instructor (Fall 2024), revamped the curriculum for CS 1998: Introduction to Android Development by transitioning to Jetpack Compose, co-leading weekly lectures and demos, and supporting 20+ students through grading, office hours, and hands-on guidance in modern Android development techniques. 

Evaluated C to Rust transpilation tools and incorporated large language models to improve cross-language translation. Built and tested pipelines for translating, compiling, and evaluating Rust code for functional equivalence, building on existing Java-to-Python translation systems. 

Supported over 500 students in CS 1110: Introduction to Computing Using Python by providing hands-on assistance during lab sessions and consulting hours. Helped students debug code, develop problem-solving strategies, and deepen their understanding of computational logic. Assisted in grading, addressing student queries, and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
